| The Manatawny Creek Ramblers Bluegrass from The Moonlight Forest Berks County, PA The Manatawny Creek Ramblers began in 2004 in the hills of Berks County Pennsylvania as a traditional bluegrass band, a roots project of bandleader Daniel Bower(guitar/vocals) who also plays drums for Frog Holler. Since inception the band has built a mixed repertoire of classic bluegrass tunes by the likes of Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, Del McCoury and Flatt & Scruggs as well as an array of original material. During that time The Manatawny Creek Ramblers have been working steadily, performing at countless events and festivals including their annual hosted “Pick Fest”. The early autumn festivity takes place on the Frecon’s Apple Orchard. In addition MCR visits high schools, festivals and libraries with an original ‘American Roots Music’ educational program.
